Farm-to-Table Restaurants in Wears Valley

At Elvira’s Cafe, we take pride in our artisanal menu featuring hand-selected, locally sourced ingredients. Our mission is to serve only the best quality recipes vibrantly flavored with the unique combination of Southern staples and traditional Russian food. It’s our belief that sourcing meats and produce from local farms benefits not only our beloved patrons and guests but also supports farmers, butchers, millers, and all of those who make our country great.

While our mountainside atmosphere is as inspiring as our food, we take pride in being the top destination for the growing culinary community and travelers looking for a unique dining experience. Those who love creative breakfasts, flavorful entrees, and hand-baked desserts find Elvira’s Cafe an exciting place to visit no matter the season.

To help you better understand what it means for us to serve locally sourced ingredients, we would like to introduce you to some of our longtime suppliers and friends.

Benton’s Bacon

Benton’s Smoky Mountain Country Hams in Madisonville, TN has a long history of curing bacon and country hams. Benton uses some of the oldest pork breeds such as Berkshire and Duroc aged to perfection and cured with a mixture of salt and brown sugar. All of Benton’s meats undergo an intense smoking process in their wood-burning stoves, so it’s no surprise that with this elaborate preparation, pork that ends up on your plate in the form of a country ham steak, on top of your homemade biscuits, or as a steamy pork chop will taste authentic and delicious!

The Old Mill

Stone-ground grits made by the power of water and heavy stones are full of corn flavor and, unlike ordinary grits, they taste like freshly milled corn. These grits truly make a difference when served as a side dish to compliment your breakfast, lunch, or diner. That’s why our go-to source for this all-time Southern staple is The Old Mill, located just minutes from the cafe, in the heart of Pigeon Forge. We love visiting the Old Mill not only to buy grits and flour for our biscuits and crepes. We also love learning about the mill’s heritage and even treat ourselves at their famous creamery and candy shop. If you have never visited the Old Mill, we highly recommend you do so.

Swaggerty’s Farm

Let’s get classic! When it comes to selecting 100% fresh pork for our sausage links, patties, and hoagies, Swaggerty’s Farm is our top-choice supplier. American-owned and operated since 1930, the farm is committed to producing only the finest pork sausage containing no artificial fillers. Located in the small valley in Kodak, TN, Swaggerty Sausage Company is operated by the third generation of the Swaggerty family that carried its tradition and quality product throughout many years.

Braveheart Black Angus Beef

Sustainability and humane treatment are at the heart of this unique beef supplier who takes part in understanding what chefs and restaurant owners are looking for when purchasing high-quality cuts. Taste, Quality, Trim, and Consistency are the main drivers behind Braveheart’s standards of excellence. Whether you are craving a mouth-watering burger or a perfectly seared steak, you will not be disappointed because the unparalleled flavor comes from the superior marbling based on a 100% US grain-based diet finished by the top-of-the-line corn kernels.
